Flaxbeard's Steam Power (Beta 0.28.12- Updated November 6) - Minecraft Mods - Mapping and Modding - Minecraft Forum - Minecraft Forum
I vote yes because it would add some variety to the pack instead of magic and mid game tech mods. The mod is pretty good in the way of automating anvils and the steam exosuit is pretty cool.
Seriously? You purposely made a second thread about the same thing? Next time just click the edit button.
hmm it looks intresting havnt played with it much my main issue is it hasnt been updated for a number of months but saying that its open source so idk
Lack of updates is because there isn't a lot to update in the mod. Flaxbeards last i checked had a bunch of stuff sorted out already.
Just because something lacks updates, it is not bad. If it is stable and doesn't need any more updates then it may be even better when it doesn't get updates because you won't have to update modpack. That was just universal side of this. I am voting eh because if it isn't laggy then why not add it. The problem is, what is other people definition of laggy. If you mean it like it only isn't server side laggy, but if it is still client side laggy (I am counting RAM/integrated graphics/CPU usage too) at the worst possible laptop then my vote is No. If it is only server side potentially laggy, but it isn't client side laggy (even in combo with other mods) on worst possible laptop then I vote Yes, why not try it. I think it is much easier to solve lag on the server side than on my laptop (I am not good with soldering). If it isn't laggy at all what I mentioned earlier in this post, I vote Yes.
you dont seem to be understand what im saying a lack of constant updates shows a lack of support for a small mod that is the issue and do be saying "there is no issue with it" because every single mod has issues with forge updates for example things change incompatible with other mods your saying this mod has no issue with no mod in minecraft i really really doubt that i could be wrong but if i do no see a sign of support for this mod its not going into the pack also if this is such a "well supported mod" why is there no 1.8 update if the mod dev has got 1.7 perfect with no issues why does he not put it on 1.8. il tell u what il get in touch with the mod dev and see if he is still working on the mod if he is i will be much more open to it if hes not no.
Maybe because he is working on something else? Or he lacks an interest to continue development (hence open source?) ?
well im not a java dev and myms java devs have things to do icy doesnt have the time so how do u plan we support this whos going to fix it if it breaks
then ppl waste resource this is a mod pack for people to play if you want to test it sure go for it but i dont want people wasteing there time and resources on a experments. im not adding mods that are not supported by a dev its not going to happen. enless u would like to bring me a java dev that will work on it thats how it is
i just want the pack to be as stable as possible and adding a unsupported beta mod sets off many alarms in my head i have messaged the dev if he is working on it then sure if not then its way too risky dont get me wrong i like the mod
