i was looking through mods on curse and found this mod called Hardcore darkness i think this would be perfect to add a diffrence to Civ and hardcore darkness would have an interesting effect on PVP too as people would be more tactical. im interested to here what you think i think this would be great for civ.

i like it but I wonder if this will be an issue as we already don't use lava pumps to avoid all the different light rendering as I have been told because it is server intensive

thats diffrent i belive(could be wrong) thats light updates which when there is like 2000 light updates it causes lag where as this mod will actuly (in theory at least) increase tps and fps as there will be less light updates

The mod is purely client side, everything it does it does with the client not the server. If installed on a server though it forces the clients to use the servers config rather then the client side one

yeah the fact your name is broadcasted through blocks
and yet all you need is the one ring to hide it gives a huge disadvantage
to anyone without where as if we had our normal names then it would be a tad more fare
the one ring is still stupid
while awsome due to its name
wouldn't mind this though might make builds look that much better

There are now two methods to effectively nullify the one ring's invisibility, which only leaves the name broadcast. That is most effectively disabled through invisibility, which can be obtained through many methods now.

I was on this server since day one and I cab tell u it was buggy it was hard and it was fun we had mo creature's and it we had people dyeing left right and center it truly made the pack hard core but from all of that what I enjoyed where the dark blood moons a perfect opportunity to strike your enemy in the back with out him knowing there for my vote is yes

    Yes.

This kinda gives that feeling of fright you get on Vanilla, at least the first few days.

Also Hardcore Ender Expansion, because Linkin Park xD

I like this but will it increase mob spawn rate ? Because as we all know mobs are bad for servers
