To be honest I really think this Spice of Life mod is unbalanced as all hell. Currently after eating 1 item the effectiveness of that item drops to like 49%. This is entirely unbalanced and unrealistic. Not only is it a cheap way of moderating difficulty, but it literally doesn't make sense. Sure you may 'get bored' of some foods, but that doesn't mean that they would stop being effective.
I would prefer that it be removed, but just making it have less of an effect would be acceptable as well. But as it is right now, it seems extremely unbalanced.

plus it is making the focus of the pack food and not the intresting mods i dont want the mod removed i would prefer it to be based on quality no quantity in real life if you were given something that tasted rubbish u wouldnt want it again but if you had something nice like steak you would eat it again it should be the same in game

    Your describing "Hunger Overhaul" mod.

spice of life is diminishing returns mod.[DOUBLEPOST=1452255929][/DOUBLEPOST]I just found this video. Its not a guide on the mod, but it does cover its uses.

I don't think it should be removed or changed. There are TONS of ways to avoid having your food hunger bar lowered, and there are a lot of other mods that give endgame(ish) items that give you unlimited nourishment without it being diminished.

Like Joice said, the mod pack's food system is perfect. It allows a greater challenge, without having it being too overbearing.

Minechem offers many ways to re-gain hunger without diminishing return

Trust me decompose a stack of mossy cobble and use the Chemical Synthesis machine with the stuff you get out off it and put 3 vials of the stuff in the synthesis machine and you get tons of sucrose for consumption

Or you can simply put melon slices into decomposer and drink H2O made from it. ;)

    I tested it.

Actually I made this post and then saw you online and talked to you, then you showed me that stuff. I'm fine now lol, although my objections to the mod still stand.
