    Dear all

I started working on a massive build here's what i currently have:

If you want to know the finished build, you can download the map here. I need about 110.000 claim blocks to be able to protect the whole thing. For now what u see on the above picture is all that i could claim. This is 1 of the four little pyramids, and than there's another massive one.

Currently there are 3 ways of obtaining more claim blocks:
    • Buying with mym's.
    • Buying with credits
    • Buying with tokens
I would like to continue building, and since i'm using gold, also protect it immediately. So i wanted to buy claim blocks using credits. Than i saw the price.... 2120 credits (= 50 euro) for 20.000 blocks. If we do some quick math that makes a whopping 300 euro, 220 days of voting, or an amazing 110.000 mym's to have enough blocks. Oops...

Now there are 2 solutions to this problem.
    1. Give donors more start claim blocks, as we advance more rapidly than "usual" players we will also need more space. i had 1600 when i started a few days ago. That's quite enough for a casual starting base, but what if u have bigger plans? And if you are afraid of giving people too much space, so they will start claiming more than they need, there is an even better solution:
    2. Make the claim blocks cheaper! Your prices are nicely balanced, but since credits are completely isolated from mym's and tokens, it shouldn't be much of a problem to reduce the amount of credits to buy blocks. Only people that REALLY need the space (like me) will buy those for real money. There is no point in making them so expensive!
Anyways, i have to go study. I hope you understand this is an issue for players that want to build big things. And I am willing to donate, just not this much to only protect my stuff.

EDIT: I forgot that you can sell claim blocks for mym's. But i'm sure there must be a way to fix this balancing issue.

    Hey,
this is a multiplayer server for many many players whit a limited map size. The amount of claim blocks have been balanced around the average need. Your plan of occupying 430 chunks just for your self is something we can't support and I'm sure isn't even possible as there isn't any area without claims that big on any server that is more than a few days old.

What we usually recommend is to only claim the area with the import stuff like chests, me system, machines... Overall we have a non griefing rule which includes non protected stuff. If your building gets griefed and you report it, it will be investigated.

me and @DizzyRonson claimed 100-120k blocks on the old infinity server. we used the market to make mym's and sold alots of stuff. manly 64k me disk for ca 175 mym. and it diden take long before we had what we needed. so u can do that too

Wauw, I feel honored to get an answer from a founder

First of all, I wasn't planning on keeping it for myself, I would probably sell/rent plots to players. Or simply let players live there, kinda like a city :). I could never, ever, fill up everything with my own stuff :D And it would be terribly boring to live there on my own.

Next, yes there are areas that big that are unclaimed, oceans ;) I roughly checked it btw, before i started building.

    This is a good idea:

I know the rules, but I'm pretty sure some people will still succeed in punching holes in the walls, or worse. And reporting is time consuming, as for me, as for the staff. But at least i can claim the most important parts. Most of it is stone, so it wouldn't be that big of a deal.

Yes, i have thought of that, but the thing is i don't have much stuff. I moved in to someone else's base, and he owns most of the stuff. And selling someone else's stuff is... wrong. I would just like to build a bit more, not necessarily finish it, before i start worrying about setting up my own machines and systems.

That brings us back to my point; If, for some reason, you quickly need alot of space, claim blocks are too expensive when buying them with credits. I really want to buy some but 50 euro, jeez, that's just so much for just stupid claim blocks right? Don't think about why I need them, ask yourself, would you buy simple protection blocks for that much money? Btw I am an impulsive buyer, i litterally throw with money, so if even I was like "wow, euurgh, thats alot of money..." I won't be the only one to think that.

A fair price would be, lets say, 15-20 euros for 20000 blocks. That's what i would want to pay for it.

Anyways, thanks for the answers, and I'm still a big fan of this network! Everything works smoothly and is exactly the way i like it :D Except this, and maybe the fact that there is a /feed AND a /heal command, and they have a shared cooldown, whats the point of having both...

I can bring this topic up to an internal discussion and see how the others feel about adjusting the value. But no promises on it or a quick decision.

With such a huge project, please be aware that the server isn't running for ever. While there is not shutdown planned and the server is probably up for a few more months, it aint living forever. Just so you know.

    Thank you, that's all I wanted :D

Of course no server can run forever, but it wont take that long to finish, the builders wand is an amazing tool :D

Thank you for your attention, i really appreciate this.

    Good night all,

    Herb.
