I keep crashing when the game is loading. already set allocated memory to its max (12 GB). Keep hearing about optifine causing problems, but not entirely sure if I have optifine installed.

    thanks

If your computer is a 12GB and you allocated 12GB to MC I highly do not encourage that, I don't think you have optifine installed, but if you do, that will be the problem.

A clean re-installation of the pack fixed this crash for everyone so far.

Optifine and Skyfactory 3 do not work well together, the current version of the mod pack will cause your client to crash.

I deleted and reinstalled the pack but I keep crashing. Should I maybe try another launcher?

I seem to have fixed the problem. I tried it in the MyM launcher, which didn't work at first, but which did let me know that my problem was with Java. So I completely removed every version of Java that was on my computer and installed the latest 64 bit version. This seemed to work for at least the MyM launcher, haven't tried the Curse or FTB launcher yet though but will probably be switching to the Curse one, since I prefer it over the MyM one.

    Thanks for all your help!
