Done Crimson Rites

There's no thaumcraft eldritch altars spawning in the farmworld and i haven't found any crimson cultists alive in the overworld from everywhere making it really tedious to search the entire map for a spawn or impossible all together if there arent any more cultists, is it possible to throw the crimson rites book into the market for sale because otherwise new members who progress far enough into thaumcraft won't be able to finish it because of it

 

I have an altar protected, i just need the book for making my portal

Basically to learn the research 'Opening the Eye' you need to have read the Crimson Rites book
As the mob is quite rare in overworld to attain due to the obelisks being ruined by players, this isn't possible.
I probably have crim souls somewhere, unless they're in my dolly of wreck my chunk.

basically what B00M said, in order to make the portal you need the research which requires the book, I have everything else that I can research done at this point, my intentions were to get all the thaumcraft research done that's available and then see what I want to do from there

 

right, in order for them to spawn you need crimson clerics which spawn in the knights, both drop them but once the clerics are dead they wont spawn anymore unless you go to a different altar where they are alive

 

book, golem core (guard), iron capped wooden wand, vial (filled with vitium) and a vial (filled with exanimis). would be my suggestion. If its like that it is not obtainable too-earlygame, but requires some thaumcraft progression.

 

the only thing I would change is replacing the book with a thaumonomicon, but that seems like a solid selection of items

 

I would suggest 4 eldritch eyes around a thaumanomicon[DOUBLEPOST=1471448392][/DOUBLEPOST]But then I'd also add it to the crundee list of endgame items

 

I would've recommended eldritch eyes, but not everyone is able to camp the eldritch guardians for the eyes being as the book unlocks the research to make the eyes, I got lucky and got a mob soul for them so I can just farm their essence and eyes,
