    I had a thought last night while testing some Blood Magic stuff.

    A flatland 63 layers of bedrock and one layer of grass world with a demon ritual set up that you get through by the mym nether portal so that players no longer need to worry if one of the items needed for endgame blood magic is banned or not. Also as the demons only continue to spawn in NEW parts of the demon village this would allow for the village to expand without taking over other worlds.

    • Players would NOT have build or destroy perms in this dimension. They also would have NO access to /fly or /god.
    • Spawners set up under the buildings to spawn in demons for players to kill. This will allow us to deal with the extremely slow/low spawn rate of demons.
    • World border can be set at 25x25 chunks to limit size of world and drain on server.
    • World would need to be loaded until village filled it and we placed spawners.
    • Maybe use the same plugins as on the crash nether to refill the chests with loot.
    • Most packs would use end-ish game BM items to open. Packs such as FB, TDT and regrowth would have pack specific endgame items to open ritual.
    • Can have arena set up specifically for elementals to be spawned. Removed due to a clarification of mechanics that crash the server.
    • I can do most of the work with setting up the world.

    Just a thought.

    The problem is that with the current version of bloodmagic on most modpacks, the demons/elementals you spawn from that ritual insta-crash the server. Once the modpack gets updated to the most recent version of BM (where the crash is fixed) then there won't be any problems.

    the demons from the ritual don't actually crash the server, and all you need to do is place down a demon portal block

    And that is the weird part. Testing on both infinity and ag2, everybody except one player was fine and caused no crash. That one player caused a ctd for himself when near a demon. Could not figure it out. That was on ag2.

    Also, assuming the crash is true, (I trust you wisski) this would at least allow everybody else to be able to continue with BM, and we can deal with the one off ctd player on an as needed basis?[DOUBLEPOST=1442865882][/DOUBLEPOST]Also the ritual that is crashing players is the one needed to get the stuff to get to the point in BM to open this ritual.

    • Crashy ritual
      • Uses the plinth's to summon elementals and tiered demons.
    • Custom world
      • Uses the convection of the damned ritual to open a portal to the demons world and rip them to our dimension.
      • Not crashy. These demons are not crashing the server.

    Ok, misread your post then, a little (Not suprising when everything in that mod is named similiarly to everything else @_@)

    Do we have a way to disable players for completing this ritual in the main world? If so I'm actually OK with having this, disabling the rituals so we don't have to worry about players leaving this running and wrecking the world, and calling it done.

    We can disable the portal itself. Players would still be able to "do" the ritual, it would just not work.

    I'll look into disabling the a actually ritual from the auto build rod and report to you with the information.

    Thank you guys. Haven't looked at the BM configs in a while.

    We will be starting this tonight on infinity. Should be implamented on all servers by the end of the week.

    Sorry to bump an older topic, but this doesn't seem to have been implemented on Ferret yet. Could this be thrown in? I'm nearing tier 6, and don't want to start a demon invasion if this will be added.

    Still working on it, trying to get the world to load and not crash the server.

    Alright, I'll hold off on doing the ritual then. I don't think poor ferret could handle it the way it's been crashing lately, anyway. Haha. Hopefully the updates are more stable.

    regarding this, someone did the convocation on direwolf 20 node 2, jayl666 knows where, which means he succesfully pulled off doing this withought crashing the server, the demons spawn and everything. Which means that the ritual doesnt crash the server, or atleast didnt at the time this was made, but regarding the fact you're putting it in a different dimension to prevent it spreading to peoples bases, thumbs up

    Ive sumoned plenty of elementals on Ferret. Not crashy at all. I even have a draconic evolution spawner for one of them..
