so yesterday my computer decided to upgrade to windows 10 even though i said not today after like 3 hrs of installing i went to play ozone and no problem i can hear the unity sound pack. today i went to play some vanilla minecraft and there were no sounds.. any help would be appreciated.
On which launcher did you start vanilla? Did you reinstall vanilla yet? Is the sound muted in the audio mixer? Do you have the issue only with vanilla?
I had a similar issue, try to go to settings > Video Settings > Mipmap level, and change that to 2. It helped me, maybe it will help you too! Good Luck -CobblePi

Right click the sound icon. Hm, that doesn't add any sounds normally Maybe because adding a resource pack reloads the sound files. Edit: What happens if you press T while holding F3 while you have the sound issue?
Interesting it said it wasnt muted but when i clicked on the button to mute it the music came on Nothing. Wierd because the MYM Music plays through your launcher just not vanilla
