    This thread is for the players of the best pack currently out for 1.7.
    What do you feel the server can do to make your experience better while playing this pack?

    Safe towns and pvp/raiding outside?

    I think Grief prevention would be best bet.
    With the rule if its claimed... you cant touch unless the owner set you the have perms...ect.
    But outside claims is fair game.

    I was watching Grief Prevention tutorials, you can make mini claims inside of main claims with seperate trusts. Its amazing.

    Well but atleast we should have some kind of pvp/raiding part. This pack seems perfect for that.

    I plan to do a town once I'm on the server. Usually I go for automation, but this packs not about that, thus I push for being the explorer/builder type (will still make my broken mana setup for all to use, because Botania + Thaumcraft is all I need).

    Unlike my one on Infinity I'll be allowing all that wish to join in, I can trust people more here than infinity (24 playtime/trusted and what not).

    EDIT: After being on the server the playstyle (in my opinion) doesn't work that well with towns, and thusly I shan't be creating one any longer.

    I would second safe towns with raiding outside, so you can be safe and not get raided but to do so you need to form/find a town/village

    Thing is, we tried this. You seen what happened. I dont think this can happen without plug ins. You will always have that one player/s that cant follow rules

    Ofcourse with plug ins. Without it it's just a full raiding and pvp map ;)

    What we need:
    • Spawn area
    • Essentials plugins
    • Essentials client mods by MyM ( Tabby chat, etc...)
    • GriefPrevection (Safe, no PVP zone)
    • PVP always enabled outside Claim and Spawn.
    • CombatLog (extremely important)
    • High /home /spawn wait to teleport time

    Extra but differential:

    • PVP Rank
    • No Economy plugin ( Mod coins has this purpose)
    • Mod coins as vote reward.
    • Npc in Spawn trading bronze to silver coins, silver to golden....
    World border:

    Small but must contain 1 Taiga, 1 Desert, 1 Savannah, 1 Extreme Hills.

    This cant happen... only because of natural world gen "spawners" that people will break and remove... that are needed to progress. I have only found 3 of them. So if we have a small border, we will need mob arenas where we can fight these mobs.

    I agree with most of your list but to add to it.

    • No /tpa
    • /sethome but no /home. This way we can set spawn point for when we die. I know beds do this but beds can be broken.
    • /spawn
    • Timer for the /spawn must be 10 seconds+, so its not abused. or not allowed to be used after being hit by a mob or player for a few minutes after


    You mentioned getting mod Coins for voting, I think MyMs could also be a thing since its what you use to buy claim blocks.

    Essentially its just a slower /home, which non-donators get only one of anyway, just means that donators are getting a bit shafted. Either allow homes, or don't allow any, there's no fair in between.

    Edit: Though I agree with the no TPA.

    i guess we dont get /home, i will edit my other post

    But i think we should have /spawn at least. Just for meeting up with players...ect.
    I found a cool system using slime pads that allow semi flight. i would love to make a network of these from base to base.[DOUBLEPOST=1432520365][/DOUBLEPOST]
    I dont want to see donator perks on this server. Especially flight and God mode. It will still be a PvP server in the wild. I dont think the perks would work here.

    There are certain perks that shouldn't be here, but this shouldn't mean there should be none, ones that do not affect PvP for example (some kits, /home, /feed, changing of spawner styles e.g.), whereas ones such as /god, /heal, /fly and other kits should not be allowed (whether there was PvP or not).

    It would be down to the person whether they used the command or not, however people donated and should have the choice to use them (excluding the playstyle breaking commands).

    /home.... can be used while running from a person. Or to get out of a dimension/ running from a mob that could kill you easy. If donators have this, normal players must also. but its not something i would like to see. I like the fact that people need to remember where they are while traveling.

    /feed.... breaks the packs, since it uses spice of life/ hunger overhaul. (not sure what they did in Agrarian skies with this)

    I dont see donator perks working on this server.

    As would /spawn. And /home is able to have a cool down (instant teleport is one of those perks I was referring to not being allowed).

    Why should normal players get the commands donators gave money to obtain?

    We have journeymap, remembering where to go isn't the problem.

    /feed has a cool down, meaning we'd still have to manage food. And AS2 has feed/god/heal but no /fly.

    You might not see donator perks working in the pack, others however might.

    i can see some donator perks working like
    • Change spawners
    • Kits but nerfed
    • Extra claimblocks
    • Reserved slot
    • Colour chat
    • No afk kick
    • /hat /workbench
    • Keep xp on death
    • Custom nick
    But for the rest I feel like it would ruin the pack and make it a pay to win server

    It's not for spawners block, the mobs spawn naturally in this biomes, like Sphinx in Desert.

    I also agree with this with a small proposed addition, /feed with a day (IRL) cool down.

    there are spawners that are natural world gen dungeons, that are needed. I understand the need for biomes, But the size of the world also matters because of these dungeons.[DOUBLEPOST=1432523492][/DOUBLEPOST]What do you guy think about: Shopkeepers - Bukkit

    I was thinking if we kept the economy based on the Coins mobs drop, People could make Kitchens, gun shops and other trade shops, but at there base.
    This pack makes me want to make a server that feels like an MMORPG, Where you have your cooks, blacksmith, bosses hunters...ect. And everyone is trading and playing together.
