I have recently renovated a badly generated crag village after all the villagers in it died. I am able to get villagers to recognize the new area as a village and breed, but when i move away or log out they despawn. The first time this happened i had 6 villagers and a named iron golem that were gone when i logged back in. The second time I had 7 villagers, 5 of which despawned as soon as i was away from them. How am I supposed to build up this village if the villagers keep despawning?
