So, I have been playing on node 2 of the Direwolf20 server, and I've made boots of the meteor. In addition to allowing the wearer to launch themselves in the direction they are looking by shift-jumping (which works), the wearer is also supposed to be able to do a ground pound by pressing shift in midair. This will immediately halt the wearer's upward momentum, and start them shooting down faster than a normal fall. Upon impact with the ground, there will be a small explosion that does damage in an AOE of around 2 blocks, and strength and range is dependent on how far above the ground the pound was initiated. This explosion does not damage blocks. I was hoping to be able to use the ability to halt upwards momentum to be able to control my insanely high jumps, but I have discovered that the ground pound feature does not work on the server. I have tested in single player, and it does. I could understand the AOE explosion being disallowed if it was a method of pvp bypass, but I fail to see why the pound can't be initiated at all.
There is no easy way to find out why it is not working and it is also no important issue. Marking as done.
