there is a minecraft mod that allows you to link the server chat to a discord server and you can run commands from discord. heres link to it Overview - DiscordChat - Mods - Projects - Minecraft CurseForge
i could see one benefit being, for example, a player will be gone longer than two weeks, but can't get on minecraft. so they run the absence command from discord. no more worries. staff could also utilize it, too, to prevent them from needing to log in to the servers just to handle, say, playerX from avoiding filters, as we all know loading modpacks not stored on an SSD can take AGES.
