Just a simple question. I had my ender pouch on my character when the map wipe occurred. It is a default white,white,white pouch but diamond locked to my character only, and it worked that way in the last map. After the wipe I started collecting resources again and noticed that the pouch was still with me and still diamond locked and attached to my character, so I used it to carry more stuff. It seemed to work fine at the time. However around 20:45 GTM+2 (or at least that's when I noticed it) it got emptied completely somehow. So can anyone please tell me why? Was this a bug or are those things not personal like they're supposed to be? Thank you for your time.
I'm not sure what happened but I assume a player cleared it. You should change the color code and verify that you have a diamond on it.
The fact that I said "diamond locked and attached to my character" answers exactly that wouldn't you think? The pouch HAS my name engraved in it, that is a definite sign of a diamond lock. I can only assume the file describing that item got corrupted or deleted somehow. I just want to know what happened you know? It's really frustrating working for 3 or 4 hours to get a bunch of resources and then everything's lost and I don't even know why.
I can't see what happens with the ender pouches of players. It could be that a player stolen a enderchest/pouch from you or during a crash was a rollback which deleted your ender pouch content. Maybe it was a visible bug that your ender pouch is locked because I don't know how a pouch should get auto locked.
Well no one stole anything of the kind during the last map I can be sure of that, and in this one the only enderpouch in existence with my id is carried by me. Also no crash happened during the hours I've been online today, not even a server restart. I too thought it might be a visual bug hence I logged off and then back on to test that but the pouch was still empty. I can only hope the contents of it will be inside a ender chest with my I'd but I highly doubt it. Still, thank you for your time. So after all the mining I created a claim (I had to place a lava block), accessed the pouch, melted some ores, crafted some items and when I was done I abandoned that claim. Then I didn't access the pouch since about 20:45 GTM-2. Do you think that claim deletion could have emptied the pouch as well?
@Jo_The_Veteran do you say that you have/had an enderpouche without a enderchest with the same color code and lock ? If so how did you get that enderpouche?
I had it from the last map @Slind14, it was on my character's hot bar when the map wipe happened. Since you guys didn't wipe all player data along with the map it carried through to this new map. So anyway I've just verified it @SirWilli. That ender pouch could not open unlocked ender chests of the same color code, and when I made one and diamond locked it so it was dedicated to me then it opened it just fine, even though I didn't right click the pouch in the chest to sync it. The pouch remembered to what ender chest it was synced to from the last map, it wasn't affected at all by the fact that there was no ender chest before the pouch existed in this new map, which is what happens normally. I know that sounds confusing but I can't describe it better. So either the data from that pouch got deleted because of that fact, that it existed before it's ender chest in this map, or by some freak bug. But there's no way it has been emptied by a player. Unless there's someone in the server that can clone what others make down to metadata and MBT and do all that without even having access to their claim.
Well I just found out I've been playing in the old map, where my base exists, and the ender chest is next to an ME system continuously sucking items from it so.... yeah. Mystery lost Someone just went near and loaded the chunk and the me system so the chest emptied. Sorry for the trouble guys, I really didn't realize you haven't deleted the map in monster server. I thought you did and just left player inventories intact.
