Explosive Damage Enabled or Disabled on Servers?

I'm currently on Node 6, and before I built a IC2 reactor that Mod told me that it does not cause explosive damage if they explode. With that I made one in confidence I would be fine. I ran one for about 1.5 weeks without problem, no explosions or issues. Then today I went to eat dinner and I came back in my base that I spent a month making was leveled to bedrock. At this time I don't know if i should laugh, cry or be angry for being misled and wasting a month day in and day out building a base only to have nothing left but what was on my character.

For those curious this is the layout that was used for the vent which should never had problems.
