my wife likes to have animals on our base. We are making sure to not get too many. She has 2 dogs and 2 sheep currently. However, she has gotten other animals that have disappeared from our base. 1. Are we allowed to keep animals? 2. Is there a trick to keeping them from disappearing?
there is a limit of how many entities can be in a 3x3 chunk area at once, tough i dont know what that limit is
Our limitation does only prevent the spawn of new animals and mobs, it does not kill existing ones. But minecraft it self does that. Usually name tagging helps.
