EDIT: USE /menu INSTEAD TO SHUT OFF GLOBAL CHAT! Hello MyMers! It has been brought to my attention that not everyone likes the new global chat, and many wish they could filter it. Well, now you can! THIS IS FOR 1.7.10 ONLY! I HAVE NOT TESTED THIS ON 1.6.4! NOTE: This will only work if you use the MyM Launcher, or have the mod "Tabbychat" installed! Lets get to it! First, navigate to the Appdata folder by pressing "Windows Key+R" and typing "appdata" Once you are there, click "Roaming" then ".mineyourmind" then "instances" and the instance you want to filter the chat from. (In this case, I am using the Tekkit Legends instance) Spoiler: Images for Guidance (pick your modpack) Installing the Filter Now that you are in the proper instance, you need to navigate to "\minecraft\liteconfig\common\tabbychat\global" and in that folder, there will be a "filters.cfg" file. Open that file in your favourite text editor, and paste this into the file: Code: #settings.filters #Fri Sep 22 11:38:59 EDT 2017 1.sendToTabBool=false 1.audioNotificationBool=false 1.inverseMatch=false 1.audioNotificationSound=ORB 1.highlightFormat=BOLD 1.caseSensitive=true 1.highlightColor=YELLOW 1.removeMatches=true 1.highlightBool=false 1.filterName=Global Chat Hide 1.expressionString=<G> 1.sendToAllTabs=false 1.sendToTabName=Global Save the file, and launch the pack, and log into the server. Shift + Left click the little "x" at the top of the chat window, and go to the "filters" tab. If it does not look like this: Make the settings match, and press the save button. And you are done! I am guessing you are on tabbychat and not tabbyche2. or you already had filters because mine did not have one. I will continue to work on it. thanks for your help
I do not believe you can filter like you can in 1.7.10 using the 1.10 version. I will look into a 1.10 version shortly Thanks for letting me know.
