Done fix the invisble mobs -.-

    i have died 4 times to invisble mobs now even after killing a visible there seems to be an invisible one that pops up in its place and kills you, that is 100% bs and it needs to be fixed -.- litterally the most annoying bug i have ever seen

    Are you sure it was no ghost? There are intended invisible mobs in the modpack.

    I understand what you are saying SirWill but i was there died to it and came back and then it reappeared
    ive seen this happen in other packs before something makes the mob invisible

    Yeah, happened to me too. I was fighting some cylopses, when all of them were killed an invisible one killed me...

    It's fixed by a relog, so not intended invisible mobs. It seems to only occur when the mob spawns while the player is looking at it.

    Hard to find that source then.
    Could be a cauldron bug if it is on all servers.

    The cause of the issue, to my knowledge, is that the server does not send the packets related to a specific mob to the client, as the mob can still be hit using ranged weapons, and potentially melee, although I haven't been able to test that as I can't see them. Are there any plugins on both Civ and NERO that interfere with packet handling?

    This is so also happening on Infinity, some monster are visible for some and invisible for others. I think i have seen in on a LP from some guy (Etho if i recall correctly) ,

    I temporary disabled the mob spawning limits, please let us know if there are still invisible mobs and if yes which mob.

    Invisible mobs are also present on Ferret Business, relogging indeed fixes it. @SirWill, has mob spawning limits been disabled on other servers too?

    This happened to me as well, there are invulnerable mobs (they hit you, don't get scanned by wailla and can't be hit with melee). The only way I found to go around this (if I didn't die trying to figure out the source of dmg) is to place a bucket of lava, in that case you see the dmg indicator, but still can't see the mob

    Only one person currently online has had an issue with an invisible mob recently, although it is possible that the mob was meant to be invisible.

    Me and Rubijox were farming in a temple and a mob that emits a beam was invisible. He was immune to melee attacks but died with a bow. Normaly you don't have particles, thus making it almost impossible to kill. it also didn't show up in dmg indicator's mod

    They are also dying to anything with an aoe effect.

    No, Chargers and stuff have been seen invisible. I think it might be the server not telling the client the texture for the mob for some reason. No texture is loaded, but the entity is still there, hence why it's invisible but can still hurt you. This happened to me only once, so I don't know if the reason changes or not, but in the logs for my game it didn't load any textures, failed or not, but it loaded the entity. I do not have any idea what has been causing this, but what about trying the fix for when this happened on Civ?

    Ok, with regards to the original issue, information and an idea.

    First, the issue remains and was also there when mob limits were removed, although it seemed fine for the first day or so.

    Second, does anybody know what happens if you teleport away from an invisible mob and then teleport back? I have a feeling it would render properly, but I haven't been able to test it due to despawning issues.
