    Hey,

unfortunately seem the hamsters to be poorly coded according to performance. Below is a screenshot from a profiling, which I just took a moment ago on B-Team PvE 1 (~45 players online):

All these values are calculated from a 30 second profiling with tick-profiler over all worlds.

The first element shows the TPS (Ticks per Second). 20 TPS means the server is running at full speed. Which means a max of 50 milliseconds per tick. So the server was running at ~40% over these 30 seconds.

The next part shows the top 5 single entities (entities are: dropped items, players, mobs, animals -> content that isn't narrowed down at a fixed block location). As we see they are all hamster and there isn't even one player in the top 5 who are normally the only ones there.
The chunk part is not relevant for this topic..
All Entities of a Type give us a closer look about the "performance usage" of the top 5 entities grouped together. The hamsters are at 24%, which is insane, more about this later on. (Zombies are on this list because of their massive spawn and the new AI they got with 1.6 - TropicalFish is a mob that we tried to disable over several ways but they still spawn :( )
The last part average entity of type is the one that should concern anyone. We have hamsters with an average time/tick of 1.210 and if we compare this to players with 0.085: ONE hamster needs the same resources as 14 online players -> this is insane.. especially if we take a look at the next mob with an average of 0.040 and 0.035 which means 1 hamster = 35 zombies.

At this time there have only been 15 hamsters on the map which means no one is overstating with them. As hamsters have a good gameplay value (especially thanks to keralis) I would like to know from you:

What is worth more to you. One hamster (equal to ~14 online Players) or Server performance (no/less lagg).

killing hamsters is animal cruelty, but having performance issues is a crime against humanity ;).
for the sake of the server gameplay, remove the hamsters.

Server performance is better than having a entity in the game and Hamster are pets but they are of not use for me lol n_n

Erm^ There would be an exploit, as we're having a vote whether to delete them all.
I suggest getting rid of it, when they're gone please.

If hamsters do get disabled then it would become permanently trapped in it as you can't release a disabled mob from safari ball :p
