I put in a ticket to inform the mods of the problem of hectates, but i was advised to make a forum post so i could keep up with it. Ill also give my reasons they should be disabled, which i am 100% sure are widely accepted through out experienced players on this horizons server.

First things first, they are a hostile mob that has been nerf'ed down in the config somewhere to not actually be hostile, which i am 100% fine with, but they just kind of sit there.
Next is they have absolutely no useful drops you cant easily get from somewhere else, and the drops they do have have such a low drop rate you could say they have no drops at all, except you get zombie heads from them sometimes.
Last and most important is they NEVER de-spawn. The only way they go out on their own is if they are exposed to sunlight. So with this in mind what happens is they spawn in your caves all around your house and never leave, they can even spawn in un find-able 2x2x2 holes in the ground somewhere. I have had a base so overrun by hectates i had to move. The fps was just un-bearable.
Another problem caused by the fact they don't de-spawn is the server has basically no mob spawns. I have realized with each farm world reset, there is tons of mobs everywhere, and slowly but surly the rate of their spawns goes down and down. I believe that this is because people on their adventures above ground cause hectates to spawn below ground, therefor taking up the mob cap and making it so you have less and less other mobs spawning.
I think all these stand to reason a complete removal of hectates if possible, or to at least disable their spawning from now on. Thank you for your time if you read this :D

I agree with this post. They serve no purpose, and do the server harm.
