Has anyone tried and succeeded in growing Natura trees(like amaranth or willow) from saplings?
Because so far i have failed miserably; I placed my amaranth sapling in my most loaded chunk several irl days ago, bonemealed it for good measure, but so far no joy. same story for willow sapling.
    What am i missing here?

Natura trees a notoriously difficult to grow, requiring certain y levels and plenty of space. I've linked the relative information for you here

Willow works fine at higher altitude but amaranth still is no go.

The only clue I could throw at you is that the amaranth is usually a jungle tree, so it miiiiiight be related to biome as well?

    EDIT:
It can also be a really tall tree.

@Kazeodori lol, i'm ahead of you on that. Already tried it , with bonemeal, but no joy. Maybe i should have stayed in the chunk even longer, idk.
    But thanks for your input
