one of the ways to not crash is if you see one of those missing texture blocks, or the "purple/pink and black checkerboard blocks" is to not punch the blocks to break it. keep adding tricks to not crash. ;)

Do not attempt to use the organize buttons in the upper left on reinforced chests. This will crash the client.

Do not attempt to plant a canola seed on an energy conduit (thermal expansion ones). For some reason the seed think's the conduit is tilled dirt and the game crashes.

I revive this post because of FTB resurrection client crashing is a thing everybody gets on a daily basis.

    1. don't press shift in any steve's carts item or machine or cart, you will instantly crash

    2. Shift generally causes client lag and rapidly moving the mouse while using shift can cause a freeze for several seconds.

Another good tip is to not use TC/TT's Amulet of nourishment, at least not on DW20, might be more 1.7 servers with this problem
Causes immediate time-out when placing/having food in hotbar.

Only fix is for an Admin+ to remove the item from your inventory.

@chugga_fan true, but we all know that communities grow, and change.

And who has ever seen anything brought back from the dead, being exactly the same? (points at Mr_Gavitts post of reviving this thread)

Its still a very useful thread for knowing what-not-to-do, for things that aren't patched/fixed atm.

Don't put a modified Tinkers Construct tool in the market. It will magically transform to a rainbow block that - while it may transfer to your inventory - will crash your client when you try to equip it.

I would imagine that would hold true to any of the servers as the market plug-in would be the same everywhere ya/no?

This was a good thread to necro honestly, some usefull info is sure to pop up for all servers.

It differs slightly 1.6 vs 1.7.

I first discovered it on BTeam (I never knew what the rainbow blocks were until recently when @Lexy2416 informed me, I just knew they always caused a client crash).

I suppose if one was really bored, one could go down the list of packs that contain TiC and test the different versions? Let me know if you need help. :)

I'm guessing it's related to the extra info being stripped from item. Do you mind testing it on the TDT server tonight with me? That has the fix that should prevent that.
