have a setup using opaque itemducts going from my grindstone to a furnace. i made a crescent hammer but something must've changed., as when i right cick the pipe doesnt turn red, needing a redstone signal. any tips?
doing it in SP. but the pack is crundeecraft. haven't had any TE 1.7.10 experience though, as i mainly play Agrarian skies.[DOUBLEPOST=1440213116][/DOUBLEPOST]does it only come from a certain side?
You need to use a servo to extract from the grindstone, -or- a retriever to insert into the furnace. Servo goes on the pipe that connects to the grindstone, and the retriever goes on the pipe connected to the furnace. You don't need both types, just one will work. When you have added either one, rightclick on the pipe and set redstone to none, or supply a redstone signal. Also, what furnace do you use? Vanilla ones do not interact as most expect. You can connect a hopper to the left side of a furnace, to insert the fuel, a hopper ontop of the furnace for what you want to smelt, and a hopper under the furnace to extract, then connect pipes to the hoppers.
For crundee, the best ones are without a doubt the Extreme Furnaces from Magical Crops. They can smelt a whole stack in seconds, and barely use any burn time with sticks. Better fuels will burn even longer.
Pneumatic servo doesn't exist in 1.7. They are now called, from worst to best: Servo, Hardened Servo, Reinforced Servo, Signalum Servo & Resonant Servo. They need to be applied to the very end of the pipe, that connects to your machine. The retriever has the same set of tiers as well.
No, you only need 1 type. Let's call the pipes a network. The servo takes stuff out from machines, and yell to the network"Take this" and doesnt care where it ends up. The retriever yells "I need this", and then search for any inventory connected to the network that holds what it wants, then extracts it. Both do the same thing, but both are not required for it to work.
so i need 1 servo per system, right? e.x. g is grindstone p is pipe f is furnace, s is pipe with servo g s p p p f
Yes, that will work, as long as the servo is connected to the side of the pipe touching the grindstone
ok. thank you so much for taking the time to explain this to me! and do need to whitelist/blacklist anything?
Only if you plan on grinding stuff that can't be smelted, otherwise the pipe will try to insert it into the furnace, but either fail, or smelt something you don't want smelted. If that is of no issue, then you are fine as it is.
ok. cool. geting ready to try to completely automate it with an autonomous activator. ... i may or may not try to quarry out the nether...
You need to craft the vaccum pipes and dense pipes now, TE was changed entirely in 1.7.10 for itemducts, it's even a seperate mod now!
ok.[DOUBLEPOST=1440256900,1440250831][/DOUBLEPOST]so, i made the dense pipes, hooked them up to the bottom of my blood altar, added servo, and it keeps taking the stone out. any solutions?
doesn't seem to want to take pulverized gold from my grindstone and insert it into my accio furnace either.[DOUBLEPOST=1440257655][/DOUBLEPOST]chugga, it doesnt work if i blacklist stone either, it pulls it out anyways.
