If i put a Hungry Node to Advanced stabilizer it is still dangerous?

There is any way to use up the Hungry node without i destroy half of my claim? (Or the hungry node is bad and thats all?)

A hungry node won't stop being a hungry node unless you transduce it or taint it. Either way the node will lose it's ability to absorb aspects. Additionally if you try to transduce the node, the node will eat the transducers under it so be prepared to bring more in case of that.

The best use for hungry nodes are to transduce them, once you have fed them enough materials.
However, like TheVoidReaver says, the node will eat the transducers, so you can choose to do 2 things here.
    • Make a lot of transducers, and set up an automatic placing of them with any block placer, and hope that the block placer is fast enough, so that the transducing does not fail
    • Turn the hungry node to a tainted node, which is then much safer to handle with transducers
    BEWARE
Unsuccessful transducing attempts will cause the node to explode, and shower the area in big amounts of taint.

Energized nodes make x centi-vis (1/100th of a vis) of the squareroot of the former vis, per tick.
This means that a node with, lets say 87 aqua, will make 0.097 aqua vis per tick, but that is also 1.86 vis/second. Remember, energized nodes never run out!

If you manage to get a hungry node with 1000 of all the primal aspects, then you will make 0.31 vis per tick, but that also means 6.32 vis per second

If you ever want a node that can output 100 vis/s, you need to get
    Code:
    100/20 = 5 (we convert Vis/s to Vis/t)
5*100 = 500 (The node makes centi-vis. It throws away 99% of the squareroot)
    500^2 = 250,000

Alright, so to get a node which makes 100 vis/second, we need a hungry node with 250,000 vis in it :D

It is a good detialed answer, thank you! :)

I understand the "code" and what mean that, but the risk is very high at this time. I mean, this is first time with thaumcraft 4 so i try figure out how its work the (normal) Node breeding :)

Off: Btw, i seen a (non-tainted) Normal Node with Taint aspect o_O it is paradoxon or just some time and it is turn into a tainted node?

How can i use my alchemyc construct with Thaumic energistics, i put an export bus, but nothing happen...
i have an essinca provider used with 4 different lines with different lanes, 1 to controller, 1 to altar, 1 import from alembic, 1 export to alchemic construct.

If you don't want the node, there are always players looking for one giving a lot ;)

I know about 2 Hungry Nodes if someone come and help me to catch it, i will give the second ;) (first already killed me, i want revenge:vamp: )

Maybe i wrong, but the transducer must place over the node and a stabilizer under, right?

How to turn the node into tainted? Throw them a bottle of taint?

How can i avoid the explosion?

If i stabilize a tainted node it is still infest the biom?

If i put a Normal node near of energized node it is still "eat" that?

Off: I made wrong the ME system for the alchemical constuct, essence provider must direct connect to it. Now it's work fine:)

    1. Stablizer/Advanced Stabilizer on bottom. Transducer + redstone signal on top.

    2. Any node in a taint biome has a small chance to become tainted. Don't know exactly how long it might take.

    3. To avoid the explosion, make sure there is a stabilizer under the node at all times. If it gets eaten, immediately replace it.

    4. Stabilized nodes still have side effects and it will taint the biome. However, energized nodes lose all side effects so then it won't taint the biome.

    5. Energized nodes will not absorb other nodes.

The speed is determined by how much taint/flux it has eaten, from the nearby materials/items. You can feed it tainted items from a tainted [mob] farm, without needing to move it /move the taint to it.

A node in a jar may loose some radiance, AKA it may go from bright->normal, or normal->pale.
Energized nodes gain a little bonus if bright, or loose some if pale, when energized.
    The values are;
    • Bright = 120% centi-vis produced.
    • Normal = 100% centi-vis produced.
    • Pale = 80% centi-vis produced.

I heavily recommend only moving a hungry node once, and that is to move it from the world, and into your setup to feed it. After that, it's gonna stay there. You should move everything to it.
Treat it like a king :D

What is the main difference between: Stabilizer and Adv. Stabilizer?

I have an idea to bread a Hungry Node: there i find it a build around with obsidian and only let 1 hole open to breading. when i done with breading, i transport it to another "obsidian cube" with 2 autonomous activator upper filled with transducer, lower filled with stabilizer, and i place a redstone block for transducer beacuse its give a signal, and i hope it is strong enough (i can found out in breading sequence without risk) if not, i place obsidian with a lever above it.

What do you think, it will work?

Advanced stabilizers allow non-energized nodes to continue to absorb surrounding nodes but that wont help much with a hungry node. Also, that should work as long as you make sure to have enough stabilizers to finish the transduction process.

In this case enough just the stabilizers, Adv. stabilizer have a much higher prize.

If i fail and explosion happen, it is stop at the walls or spreading everywhere? If it stop in the walls, i make larger obsidian cube and i remove later when the energizing sequence is done.

Energizing needs the advanced one ;)

Last time I checked it worked with the normal just as well.

I came up with a little trick so the node get busy eating other stuff while being energized ;)

Is there any bonus on Pure nodes or on tainted nodes?
