I think he means he doesn't want islands to be deleted after a certain amount of time or a full server reset due to the fact that every player can delete their own island when they are done/don't want to play anymore or something like that. If I am wrong, please correct me @danielpmc but I think that is what you mean.
well like i dont think they should be a reset on crash landing as people can do /is restart and stuff like that (Just a idea)
Yes @danielpmc they can do these commands but what if dome people randomly leave or want to keep their plats even though they don't play this modpack anymore? They don't need it anymore but still keep it kind of as a useless trophy :/. That's why I think having it disapear after a few weeks isn't that bad of an idea. PS: if you log onto the server once from time to time, you don't have to wory, your plot On't disapear.
hmm, the ag servers have been without reset for over a year and crash landing since the downscale from 3 to 1 server
There hasn't been a need to do a full restart on Crash Landing. People come and go as they choose. The only thing that gets reset is the players inventory after two+ weeks of inactivity. People, if they choose to, can reset their islands if they don't like being end game anymore. I know from personal experience I have reset my island on many occasions, purely because I just wanted a fresh start. It's almost always purely up to the player(s) if they want to restart their islands. There has only been one "complete" reset and that was when the servers went from 3 servers to just 1 server. Besides that, it's purely up to the player.
