In chapter Kappa, the quest "Destruction catalyst" can't be completed, because the required item, Destruction Catalyst (ProjectE) can't be crafted since the Nova Catalyst is banned and can't be crafted:
Still is an issue tho since some people don't have me crafting systems and/or don't wanna set one up I remember I got all the way through ozone one (even killed the chaos dragon with gem armor) without an me system at all
they can just make a terminal, also i think you can make it with a tinkers crafting station and a nearby chest
And also on other servers with projectE that don't have me systems (tekkit legends) the destruction catalyst and anything made out of it are uncraftable which sucks since it is a really useful item and doesn't bypass Clams like the nova I made a suggestions thread about this once and much like every other thread there I make I was told they would look into it and then they forgot about it
I think it is also possible that the ban can be reduced to using an item and not to crafting. We had a similar issue on hypo and an admin changed the status of the thing. Then again I don't know exactly how this nova catalyst works, so it might be banned completely for a reason. In the example of Hypo it was Sanguimancy blood tanks that crashed the server when placed next to mekanism fluid pipes. But the questbook wants you to craft a lot of them. Now placement is banned, but not crafting.
Nova catalyst and cataclysm are types of TNT that have a much higher blast radius and drops all items destroyed (intended for mining). It was banned for 2 reasons. 1 because it bypassed claims And 2 because if you combined just a few of them you could easyly make a 200 block across crater But the ban could easily be reduced to making it unplaceable and then this would not be a problem
But then there could be exploits like putting it in a dispenser or something like that. You're technically not placing it as a block is, and the block will always place it, therefore the explosion would still go off.
