Infinity: Increase player mob spawn limit a bit

    Since i got startet a bit with MFR and DR mob spawning, i got some problems. Like my MFR mobspawner is wasting alot of energy and essence, doing the spawn animation, and nothing happened, same thing the DR spawner(Without wastingt, but no spawning)Also moving mobs with the safari net doesnt work all the time. So i asked around a bit and found out that the maxiumum player spawned Mobs are limited to 6 ?And my one only spawns one at a time currently. Isn't that a bit low ? Maybe increase it to 10, or 15 already. So that players dont hit this border instantly. And 4-7 mobs more should not be that problem. Last question, if i move a sheep to my home and place it, does it count to the 6 mob border and jam my autospawning ? or does the counter reset sometimes ?

    it's only 6 per 3 chunks to allow for less laggy conditions because mobs = lag, this argument was because of DW20 and TDT having their tps cut by 1/3 due to mobs alone

    Well since the buggy zombies are banned maybe we can give it a try, the jump from 6 to 10 is not that big and whould let mob grinding flow better. And how are there "6 mobs per 3 chunks" are calculated ? if i got a 3x3 chunk area and i put a spawner in the lower left and upper right, will both be able to spawn 6 mobs ?

    this wasn't just due to buggy zombies, peaceful mobs like sheep caused this aswell, and i meant 3x3 chunk area XD

    I see no reason to increase the limit :O

    Throw down a magnum torch or 2. That way you know the only mobs you have on your chunks are ones that you spawn in.

    Will magnum torch prevent mobs from spawn on cursed earth ? I use cursed earth to farm LP and there is almost no spawn on it ...

    No, but it should improve the spawn rates of the cursed earth

    I tried it, spawnrate is almost on zero, and i cant carry mobs to the altar with my safari net because of the limitation the safari net goes empty but no mob is spawning -_-

    How many pieces of cursed earth? How high is the ceiling? What is the lighting level? There are tons of factors that influence cursed earth

    floor is 11 x 11, its fully dark, ceiling heigh is 2, worked on other modpacks too :O

    Try 3 high. If it doesn't work I'll come take a look :)

    Well that helps a bit,thanks for the tip. But it is still annoying that i cant move mobs with a safari net. Wasnt able to move mobs in the last 30 Minutes, they just dont spawn if i use the safari net -_- I need those mobs for my progress, i dont even need them to live longer than five seconds, but they dissapear

    Yeah, I can say that the safari net issue is annoying :\ Trust me.. I feel your pain..

    But, is the spawn limitation the reason ? or is the safari net buggy ? it seems kind of random

    It's the spawn limitation for that chunk/area.. or claimed land.. I'm not sure.

    So there is no way to increase the spawn limitation a bit ? I tried the last half hour again to keep making progress in Blood magic but this limitation is jamming it. i placed 2 magnum torches to prevent random spawning and i am still not able to spawn a mob for a second with my safari net to kill it

    don't need it increased for BM, you can progress without using mobs easily if you know what your doing, @__Tiny__ tested this and confirmed this before

    So players are forced to use self sacrifice ?
