So i play on agarian skies + for like 50 mins, then my game starts freezing up every now and then.
I press f3 to see my ram usage and i see this [IMG] wich looks fine.

Next thing i do is open up task manager to see that the game is taking up twice the amount of ram i limited it to, wich is all of it[IMG]

Does windows 10 task manager show the total resident memory usage consumption or the total virtual memory usage consumption?

i did, it sent me to this page , visualvm.java.net/troubleshooting.html#jpswin but i dont know how to do whatever they are telling me to do on that page

Local Applications Cannot Be Detected (Error Dialog On Startup)
Description: An error dialog saying that local applications cannot be detected is shown immediately after VisualVM startup.

Resolution: This can happen on Windows systems, it's caused by misconfigured jvmstat technology used to detect the running applications. There are two possible causes:

    • Insufficient permissions for %TMP%\hsperfdata_username folder - make sure you're able to create a file in the directory and eventually update the permissions for full folder access. Alternatively you can just re-create the folder which should automatically set the correct access rights. See see this forums.sun.com thread for more details.
    • Having %TMP%\hsperfdata_username folder on a FAT disk - by default jvmstat doesn't work on FAT disks due to security restrictions. You can bypass the security check by setting the -XX:+PerfBypassFileSystemCheck flag for both VisualVM and the monitored application. See the JDK bug #5042659 for more details.

i get an average of 15 fps in game :p, but seriously if its that bad for you , then you should consider getting a better pc or lowering the graphic settings

I have a slight memory leak to/high memory usable from background tasks that eats up about 8/16GB of RAM. My solution buy 16 more GB

the problem with memory leaks is that it doesnt matter how much ram you have in total, its just gona take it all[DOUBLEPOST=1452685716,1452629311][/DOUBLEPOST]also it seems that everybody on my island gets the memory leak

A bit late but I sent a ticket about this a while ago, while it slows my in game a bit I really notice it when I try and close Minecraft, it completely locks up my computer and if I have task manager open I see my memory usage spike to 100% (Holy ) and lock my computer up for at least 3 minutes. the only way to avoid it is to go to the main menu and force close it using task manager. I get almost no problems that way.
    8 GB Ram

Is this only happening when you play Minecraft? Or do you have to reset your PC due to the memory leak taking up most of your RAM?

Only minecraft. There was once i had to reset my PC but it usually calms down a bit, it will also usually hang higher than normal after closing MC (it only seems to be AG+ so I think its a mod on there, haven't bothered to see if it happens on SP though)

Ah okay. I had an issue with one of the windows drivers causing massive memory leaks. I did a bit of googling and using poolmon I managed to find the leak and fixed it. Now my PC bearly uses RAM.
