Today, I encoutered few invisible mobs, that were invisible even with Unveiling I enchantment. Relog didn't help. It happened in Eldritch dimension. This glitch makes game nearly unplayable because of invisible Eldritch guardians killing me each time I respawn. Can this glitch be fixed ASAP because the eldritch dimension is impossibly difficult even with full void metal armor? Or atleast can there be somekind of workaround? Like giving each player flamethrower with infinite ammo or something else that can show invisible mobs locations?
i find explosive weapons help (like keys to the kingdom) or a weapon that attacks the tarrain like the star caller (but doesnt work in far lands), but i had this same issue, dova also experienced this so i understand where u are coming from. (thanks again john for saving us) This bug is not just related to the far lands, it effects mobs in all dimensions.
The point is, players shouldn't even need to solve this glitch (This glitch isn't caused by players, is it?). I find this glitch making game very unfair, because I as player am equipped with stuff good enough (Unveiling enchantment and good crossbow + void metal armor) to fight those mobs and then those mobs abuse glitch and kill me even if I have good equipment and I don't stand any chance against them.
Glitch abuse,ban.. If you have any idea what might be causing it. What being needed for them to get invisible that would be helpful. Do you know if they get invisible at the same time for everyone or does it vary, like the zombie next to me is invisible for me but for you it the one behind me is.
Ban all mobs = Peaceful?? it seems to be a reacurring thing although on other servers it tends to be spiders and zombies that go invisible. sometimes nobody can see them and sometimes i cant but playerb cant.
Until we know the cause, we can't think about fixing it. Sorry but this like finding a needle in a hay stack.
Do you think that pack reinstall can help? From my observation, I found out that: 1. Mobs can become invisible only right after spawing or relog or respawn. They don't become invisible when you see them visible and you don't relog or respawn. 2. Mobs can get desynced from their rendered sprite and this can happen after relog or respawn.
I doubt, but it would be worth a try. If you do, do a clean one by deleting the pack (not Hard-Force Update).
its completly random from what i have seen mobs just spawn in invis i may be wrong but im guessing its a mod feature as stupid one but still
It's not just Civ that has this issue though. Some one on infinity died to a nether spider they claimed was invisible. But Civ does seem to have it worse than other packs.
To my eye seems more a client side issue than the server s the server says they are there but the cleint side cannot see them but when you relog they are there so something in the client side download is doing this
Those mobs are not invisible. I've tested a bit a few months ago and is always a problem with just 1 person maybe 2. It's not a bug, it's a problem betwen client and server. This could happen in every server, specially if you're running it in a Low end pc.

It is a Desync issue, Basically the server is saying it's there, but the client is saying it isn't, ususally a relog helps this issue, or something that can do a cone of effect/AOE effect, most of the time the player in the situation cannot attack the entity because their client doesn't register that the mob/entity is there. It happens with server lag or Tps most of the time or the client's connection isn't the greatest. Idk what everyone's internet quality is, But it happens to me from time to time and i feel your pain alven.
