Ok issue: Mobs need to spawn 25 blocks away. Currently active chunks around player has been turned down too low. It used to be months ago that if I stood in the middle of 5x5 chunks they would all stay active. Now even if I stand in the middle of 3x3 chunks they will not all stay active. I know server lag gets bad when lots of chunks are loaded, but this is extreme. I make a 3x3 platform and the fluid transposer on the corner chunk stops working when I walk around in the chunk diagonally connected to it. I cannot even see mobs that appear in a dark room 25 blocks away. Can the size of active blocks(new chunkmanager) or active chunks(normal way) be increased slightly from 20 blocks to something like 32 (2 chunk radius). This way I can see when mobs spawn and my machines will not stop when I walk 25 blocks away to check dark room?
I think this more relates to "view-distance" setting in server's configs is set WAYYYYYYYYYYY too low. Yes I know about loading chunks that you are not next to with chunkloaders. but the default range around the player is super low. low to the point that it stops normal progression. example: 1) Make a dark room for mobs (dark glass sides so I can see in) 2) I walk 20 blocks away so they can spawn. 3) mobs spawn. 4) I cannot see the mobs (cannot see them on map either) I am just asking for the Developers to make sure it was not an accident. Note: some machines stop working when out of view distance which can cause major backup in systems causing more lag then increasing the view distance slightly to something like 32 blocks?
hmm, mobspawners are required in agrarian skies and the agrarian servers have been around for 2 years now. Its the pack that had the most players. I don't see why this would be necessary if it worked for all the thousands of players.
The only chunk that is ticking at server TPS is the one your player is stood in. Chunk you arent in dont stop they just decrease significantly. Using a chunk loader will stop the decrease. Like Slind said, other players havent had/reported this issue.

I have a similar problem with my source of power/machinery stop working due to the chunk they are in stop loading, therefore the cease of generating power.
