So I have been playing B-Team 3 and understand that it is a new server for B-Team. I have one issue and that its the lack of Staff appearance on this server. I don't mind if they don't play on the server but players should see staff more frequently than once in a lifetime. A little exaggerated but thats what it feels like when issues arise between players or general questions about the modpack with the absence of staff members. You have 49 Moderators and 11 Co-Administrators yet I have only seen two Specific members of the staff appear on the server in the last week. This server prides itself on having such a vast member network with many staff members but they are no good if they are not there to provide support for the player. The server exists to provide the player with a good experience for Modded-Minecraft but without help many players get frustrated, the rules are bent to a large extent, and players think that no rules exist. I am but one person and I feel like other players feel the same way. We need more staff presence on B-Team 3 even if its three time a day. Just three times a day could improve the well being of the players.

I'm sorry that you feel that way, however, I'd like to direct you to /ticket, which get checked about a thousand times a day by every staff member, and should be the primary method for problem resolution.

We also have the support forums, one for each modpack.

We also have in-chat keywords that prompt the server to issue a [TIP] broadcast (informing players about the varied means of communicating issues to staff).

We also have the Private Complaints forum, in case you'd like to privately air a grievance.

We also have an IRC channel, that can be accessed by clicking the "Chat" menu item in the top right hand corner of the page.

So please, feel free to use any, or all, of the above methods to communicate with us. We try to make it easy for players to get in contact with us when there's an issue, but sometimes, we really don't have staff free to hang out on every server, at all times. Please bear in mind that every member of staff is a volunteer who sacrifices his or her spare team to better the community.

Thank you and have a nice day - and if you have any further issues, don't hesitate to get a hold of us!

I know about all of that as I was a mod on the server before, Communication to the staff is not he problem. Its the fact that they are rarely ever on to begin with. Many players I have talked to on this server agree. MrWisski If you could explain why they're not there, not how to get in touch with them.. Thank you :)

I have - if we had infinite staff robots, we could force them to hang out on every server. but we don't - they're volunteers, and human beings, and if noone is particularly wanting to play on BT3, we're not going to force anyone.

This is a FREE network, and a FREE community, and we do our best to provide the best experience for the players that we can - but the community also has to help out, by at least taking that first step, and opening a line of communication with us. We've got hundreds, if not thousands, of unique, active players during the day, across TWO DOZEN different servers, and about 2 dozen active staff over the course of the day. Who, as I'd like to point out (again) are all volunteers, and help out because they love the community, not because we get any kind of compensation from it.

We -cannot- do everything. If the players can't be bothered to come to us with issues - those issues don't get solved. That's ... just how things work.

In other words - talk to us. Somehow. Get us some kind of information, and we can take it from there. If everyone on BT3 remains silent on the problems though, those problems are going to persist.

After this post Guess how many new Players I saw On B3? You have the staff you just don't feel that they need to stick to any one thing which probably would not be a bad thing. Im just saying with the large staff that there is its doesn't feel like its helping the players as much as it should.

B-Team is a modpack which get played by many young players which makes it hard to find mature enough staff for it.

Also if there is in issue the player should create a ticket or create a thread in the forum.
The staff is also not there to explain the modpack/mods, this questions should be asked to the online players or the web.

the staff are busy, and there are many different ways to communicate with them as @MrWisski illustrated above, I personally have been active on mym for close to a year and a half, if not more, and only once in that entire period did I have an issue that was not replied to in under 24 hrs, and do you really think it would be fair to ask the staff to stick to a single pack/server(what I assume you meant by thing), as they are players too.

As MrWisski has already said, we do not want our staff who choose to volunteer their free time to help us out, to feel like they are forced to spend time on one specific modpack, especially if they maybe started out on that modpack but have since lost interest and want to play a different one... that said whenever a ticket is made on bteam or a thread posted in the bteam support section it is very common for staff who do not actively play on bteam to stop what they are doing on another modpack and hop over to deal with those tickets/threads, so even if there isn't a constant staff presence on there, there will almost always still be staff willing to go there when needed.

If you want me to be completely honest, one of the main reasons for the lack of active mods on bteam is that we get very few decent mod applications from people who play bteam.. I'm not sure when the last community survey was done, but one thing I do remember is that it showed that the average age of bteam players is significantly less than the average for the network as a whole, this means that often times when we do get mod applications from bteam players that they are either too young, or at the very least too immature to be considered as decent candidates.

Numbers don't lie: of the last 50 moderator applications, only 6 were from people who stated their main modpack as bteam, of those 6 only 1 was considered a good enough applicant to be accepted, 3 were denied for lack of maturity, one because of previous bans, and the sixth is a recent application which is still to be determined.

Believe me, if we started receiving good applications from mature people who want to play bteam as their main pack then we would be more than happy to consider them, but if all we get is immature kids applying, or when we do get a decent applicant they then later decide that they don't want to play bteam anymore then there is very little we can do because as already mentioned we don't want our staff to feel like they are only allowed to play the pack that they were playing when they first applied, because if they really don't feel like playing that modpack anymore then it is either let them stay as a mod and play on a different pack, going back to bteam occasionally when necessary, or see them quit as mods altogether... which is definitely not something we want to see.

If you really think the bteam needs more active mods, then by all means keep an eye out for people who present themselves as mature and helpful in chat, and recommend to them that they should consider applying, because if you can find people like that then we would love to hear from them!

I think your mistaken by the "lack" of staff on B-Team as they are not also working on B-Team.
When a play submits a problem via a ticket, a staff member will get on and sort it out.
You as a player will not always see the staff get on, this is because they may be hidden.

While "lack" of staff can have negative affect on a server, THIS server is not effected by this, since all the staff is on all the servers.

I realize how all the modreqs work and all that good stuff, its just when problems arise they usually keep escalating and player leave because of conflict, from what I and others have noticed.

I only Play on bteam and was once a mod about 10 months ago and then got demoted and stopped playing because my demotion I thought was unjust considering the circumstances. I'd like to re-apply but I know Ill get denied based on two things, I heavily dislike one of the co-admins as he helped get me demoted when he was a player and two because he doesn't like me. But this isnt a mod application.

Myself and many others would at-least like to see more staff come by rather than one once a week if that isn't a problem. :) Thats all we the layer really want. If it doesnt happen, well them it doesnt happen.

They can't really hold you to it after 10 months. So I say apply, if you really want a staff member to play on the server, maybe you should?

Let's remember there is a line of no personal attacks, before anyone crosses it. I look forward to seeing you tickets/forum posts in the future as support is needed. Thanks for taking the time to express your opinion.
