Done Launcher Crash

I go to download the new modpack of Skyfactory 3, completes all seven steps, then freezes and it never works. I gave the launcher more ram, which did nothing what so ever. Help plz

 

how much ram did you give it? 1.10 modpacks require at least 4GB(4096mb)of ram allocated.

 

I put 4000 in.

 

might need a bit more than that, try putting 5120 and see if it works(assuming you have enough ram)

 

My ram was set to 1024. When i attempted to load the launcher, stopped at 3/7 then crashed. Changed my ram to 4096 completed all steps, then stopped responding after the 7th step. Loading it one more time, and if it does work, ill change it to 5120.

 

if it doesnt work ,do (assuming you are on windows) windows key+r and type msinfo32 then hit enter, near the bottom you should see something like this if you could tell me what numbers you are getting

 

I have 4gb ram

 

then you wont be able to run that modpack, your os is probably already using 25% of that wich means that you'd only have 3gb to play mc with, try to find a small 1.7.10 modpack for now (regrowth maybe or agarian skies 2)
