The main reason is because I didn't actually know it existed... although, at least I know how to manipulate Tinkers' to get me insane tools now! It's a learning experience, eh?
on Agrarian Skies 2 i have Reinforced 8, Repair 6, Silk and 153 speed pick - i'm to lazy to make a pic but it's true
SkyFactory2.5[DOUBLEPOST=1480114152][/DOUBLEPOST] I mean, I obviously could have raised the speed stat a bit more, but I was willing to sacrifice some of the speed for the Unbreakable. It's a pretty good investment if you ask me!
You should change parts to better (like manyullyn) and end up with pretty good durability, my pick have 15k durability and i dont think you also use pick so much that having unbreakable is so important, and for heavy mining more efficient is hammer btw. better use emerald next time it gives +50% to durability than use +500 from diamond.
I just wanted a pickaxe that was capable of veinmining. Food isn't a problem, so we're all good there. The only real thing is the durability, and I really don't feel like constantly repairing my pickaxe after every veinmine operation. With the limits of durability, I decided to test out Tinkers' ability to create infinite durability tools, and I'm glad I tested! Pretty dank pickaxe. Of course, I never needed the insane mining speed, but eh. Nice thing to have.
