Hello. As the title suggests, I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing their mob towers (farms) no longer spawning hostile mobs? When I first created my mob tower, it was functioning normally and collecting materials. However, after a server restart/crash, mobs have ceased to spawn inside the tower. I have checked both inside and out to make sure everything should be operating smoothly, along with my island to see if they are being force-spawned elsewhere. Can't seem to find any problems. According to a couple other players, I'm not the only one experiencing these issues. Is there any way that this could be fixed? P.S. I apologize if this topic has been submitted before.
I've heard several people say this is the case for some reason. As far as I know though, they have had success in moving the mob tower to a different chunk. Particularly away from any auto spawners and blood altars. Mobs should start spawning again
Alright. Is there any way that this issue could be looked into? While it may not seem like much, this kinda is a larger set back for those who are still setting up their islands and haven't reached those levels yet. (I've yet to start on Blood Magic or Auto-Spawners, and I'd hate to have this happen again if I moved the tower) Thank you for the advice.
I did have the occasional hostile mob still spawn on my island from normal spawning mechanics. Since I haven't started on any Blood Magic at this time, there wasn't a blood magic altar in or near the chunk that the tower was located in. --- --- --- Edit --- --- --- Oh, since this may be important: This is on the regular AG 1 server.
I'm still in the process of moving my mob tower to confirm if it's just chunk related. Someone else was talking about having the same issue just the other day, and received the same advice.
Usually it is caused by a blood magic altar that permanently corrupts the chunk so no more mobs can spawn, not even walk into it.
