Not sure if whomever set up the server just forgot to turn it off or not, but would you kindly turn off the requirement to play the research minigame to unlock research? It's been overlooked/forgotten a few times before, with other modpacks on the servers, assuming it's just was just and oversight once more.
Isn't it turned on on default? From what minimal knowledge I can muster I'm certain that it is a mod in only a few modpacks that disable the need for the minigame.
We don't like to change the gameplay. Hence we stick with the original settings as much as possible and only drive a way when there is no way around it.
