Hm... First question to start with: What was the reason to have the restarts on direwolf20 now, increased to 8h? Normally i dont have anything against less frequently restart. But as we still having issues https://mineyourmind.net/forum/threads/machines-stopped-working.4377/ we found a temporary solution for it. But the problem is for example all chunks that we arent able to unload, so it can work again, after loading the chunk. There are just 2 solutions how to fix a problem, with the machines stopped working: 1) Unload and load your chunk 2) Break your machine and place it again. But the problem is, what if there is a machine, which you cant unload and you dont want to break? For example your enderquarry. Breaking it, and placing it again, will it just making to start all over again. And that is very often not in your interest, because it had mined maybe a few hours or days. So that means, it will start again, and wont mine for you for hours or days. Depends, how much work it did before. So you have to replace it and place it again. If you do that, you can have the problem, that suddenly all machines are stopping again. So, you have wasted time. So in these cases, the restarts will also be temporary decreases until we have a solution for it or we are having issues with more frequent restarts. What do you think? I would suggest having restarts every 4h.
imo this is a great solution for alot of problems on dw20, more specifically the timeout and server closed problems, (everyone who plays alot of DW20 knows these pain in *&^(&* often "kicks"/"crashes"
reduced to 4 hours, but will require a wrapper restart, which I just put on the todo list for tomorrow.
