Hello Fellow Mine your Minders, Recently, I have finally taking the step to getting a 1080p display. Feeling excited to try it out in Minecraft, I logged into our Infinity Normal Node 5 server. Immediately, I noticed sharper edges, clear shapes and colors, and I was happy. The issue is, the second that I move my mouse down, A.K.A. on the Y axis, it snaps all the way to the lowest looking point (right to the ground.) No matter the distance, it always snaps down. I took the normal trouble shooting steps (Relaunching, reconnecting, going in and out of fullscreen) and nothing seemed to dampen let alone solve the issue. I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem, and fixed it. Note: it does not happen at 720p. Thank you all. -Colin
I'm not even kidding, the second I drop my resolution down to 720p, it immediately stops doing this weird mouse thing. The even weirder thing is, It even does it at lower than 1080p resolutions (like 1400x900) and no matter what driver settings I tweak, it constantly does this.
Do you have multiple monitors?[DOUBLEPOST=1491577034,1491576990][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, if that's not the case, please try out if the same happens with other launchers.
Technically yes, My laptop screen and my monitor, but only one of them is active (the monitor)[DOUBLEPOST=1491577062,1491577049][/DOUBLEPOST]I will try that here in a minute
Yes it does, but my display option is set to "Second screen only" so that should not have any effect.
Windows 10, 64 bit[DOUBLEPOST=1491578311,1491578123][/DOUBLEPOST]Going to try it with the curse launcher now.
Hmm might be that windows 10 has weird special stuff there. I'm using a very similar sceen setup, but my laptop screen is still active. I had all kinds of weird problems until I made the bigger screen my primary one. But that was using windows 7, so no idea if that could help...
Well I will try with my laptops screen on if it does the same thing on curse.[DOUBLEPOST=1491579312,1491579035][/DOUBLEPOST]I can confirm that it does happen on the curse launcher as well. I am going to test with my laptops screen on now.[DOUBLEPOST=1491579421][/DOUBLEPOST]With laptop screen on and set to native resolution on both monitors (Set to extend) it does the same thing. I tried on duplicate, but that bumps the monitor to 72o because the laptop is 720.[DOUBLEPOST=1491579552][/DOUBLEPOST]Unplugged my mouse and monitor and plugged them both back in, still having the same issue.
There is that option, but I found the issue. Windows has a feature that used to be called "DPI scaling" which will make the taskbar and icons bigger. Turns out, it was enabled BY DEFAULT in windows and was set to 150% normal size. This was the issue, as when I set it to 100%, it had 0 issues. Sorry for the trouble and thanks for the help. (Was set to 150% by default and it is found in the Display settings from windows)
Yeah, most older programs do really bad with DPI scaling (Also, the launcher looks really ugly with it, but I guess it's bearable as long as you only use 150%...)
