So, this system directly links to my ME system, which is pumping out ores at max speed into an output buffer (color coded, privated enderchest) to be sent into S(w)ag mills, where ores are processed, and all except nether quartz is sent into alloy smelters. all the ore dusts are smelted and sent into the input buffer, where the Me system collects everything at top speed and puts it in the ME. each machine is fitted with octadic capacitors for maximum speed. this entire system is currently processing thousands of ores into their relative ingots. it's going to be draining on my power. and it's going to take ages. but once it's done, it'll slow down and process pretty much whatever ends up in the ME as far as configured ores go. i'm also adding a screenshot.
If you are using a quarry to get the ores please setup it up so it goes quarry -> processing -> AE. Having the AE constantly pulling a range of different items out in quick succession will casue a decent Amount of strain on the server.
i mean let's be honest. my only quarry isn't even running atm. sooo all it's doing is draining ores from the ME and processing them. plus i tested tps before turning it on and after, there wasn't any noticeable strain on the tps
Irrelevant if you have your quarry on or not you are still pulling items out of the AE system at a constant rate, eventually when you have millions of item in your AE and it will cause a noticeable difference. Then you will most likely comment about the low tps is and then not realising that you are part of the problem. Better to correct it now than later.
lets be honest on one server I did the sam thing with 6 sagmills and I had over 10k of each ore that many sag mills is just overkill.
well as of now, when i checked this morning, only about 30% of each machine are actually processing materials. it went through about 5-6k ores of iron with no loss to tps. the only real downside to my system is that it could crash people who have bad computers. the system can and will drops a few fps. but nothing serious.
I dont think you are understanding what I am getting at. Eventually it will cause lag as your system gets more filled with items. Most likely when it gets to that point you might not be bothered about changing it. That is where I will have to step in and I will have to either to that for you or disabled it and ask you to change it. /tps check is an average reading it is not accurate to the current tps on the server /cofh tps would provide a better value.
I'll make sure to do some monitoring with the system when i get home today, using /cofh tps but so far the system doesn't seem to be changing the server's normal speed.
the only problem is that i can't do that, without transferring the items to be processed seperately. my system has been nothing but dormant storage cell up until now, this is literally the only thing running constantly, and it only runs if i'm online or someone's near my base.[DOUBLEPOST=1449104169,1449090995][/DOUBLEPOST]been monitoring the system, all listed overworlds were running at 20 tps constant rate.
