My basemate BALoney2012 is currently having issues with his new laptop, and one of them happens to be preventing him from expanding windows, so his options window happens to be looking like this Gyazo - e226f7bb3297a45cf33e393ed7b05c33.png We've both located the .mineyourind directory in our Roaming folders, but there's no way to find where the allocation configs are in the mess of files, even using my vanilla directory as a reference was impossible. Anyone who knows what config he can directly edit to allocate more RAM? Thanks for any help ~MBacon15
This is caused by windows scaling which the launcher doesn't currently support. There are no plans for support at this time, it is a rather big change which also adds major disadvantages for mac users. The only way around it is to disable the scaling.
Do you think it be possible for someone to send me a file of .mineyourmind where it already has the RAM set?
His laptop has a 4k monitor and a gtx 95om on supporting it. When he tries to set the resolution any lower, he says nothing works
The (idk if it works or not without ever having this problem myself) fix for this would probably just be to allocate more RAM to the MyM launcher. Otherwise, as Slind said, you'll have to disable Windows scaling.
He seemed to have fixed it by fishing out the config.json, opening it in TextEdit, and allocating ram straight from there, had the exact same effect as when I used the MyM launcher options
