gah! am i the only one who knows people that watched Dr.Who during the original season when it came out or people that watched every episode ever, i think i am the only one here who knows that hardcore fans of doctor who
I had watched like... 7th and 8th Docs during my childhood and during the run up to the 9th I watched the entire series from the original 1963 1st Doctor through till the 8th. The 1960s eps are available on free license in the UK.
To be honest the first couple of Doctors are kind of a chore to get through. It's really, really dated and to be frank, the 1st Doctor is kind of a nasty sexist, racist old man... but it makes watching the later episodes so much cooler because they reference them loads.
Ah the ole Matt Smith vs. David Tennant debate will begin soon, it is an old classic which has no real correct answer. Although for me David as the doctor took some getting used to because I could only see him as Barty Crouch Jr because I am from the Harry Potter fandom first and the Doctor fandom second. However after seeing something on the internet that shared the connection Doctor Who made with Harry Potter I began to see Tennant in a new light. He thereafter became my favorite Doctor, even having watched all the older episodes.
