Hey all! It's me back from the grave! I've been looking around and I noticed there hasn't been a new pack in a bit (Albeit there is probably one in the works) and I was looking for something new. The link to the pack's website on FTB can be found here Introduction and Description This pack is a remake of FTB Retro, the pack that FTB released with a Pyramid of objectives to complete, each on harder than the next. This is the description FTB wrote: Mods It has just over 100 mods so it isn't SUPER heavy on the mods. It ranges Actually Additions all the way to Forestry and back to Extreme Reactors. It has something for everyone! You can look at the list of mods here Personal Opinion Personally I think that with the right people setting up this server, it could become something amazing! It could be a race to finish first, and whoever finishes first could get a reward (Kind of like an event WINK WINK NUDGE NUDGE) and I think it would be a lot of fun to play it and see if I could win. This is only a suggestion at the end of the day and no matter how could I could persuade people, it is never guaranteed to be added as a pack here on MyM. Personally this pack could revive my drive for Minecraft that I lost by playing cookie cutter pack after cookie cutter pack. Please vote on my poll above
it hasent been updated in like a year (roughly but dont quote me on that front) and it still is a bit demanding due to 1.12 but i have found useing the recent foamfix and optifine along with texfix (btw who ever found that mod and added to the mym launcher you sir/madam or what ever you perfer are a legend *insert epic guitar rift here*) it does allow for some/more fps inprovements
I haven't had any issues with performance at all. The main issue @bigbluu722 and I have run into in our play through is the Guide book being broken. If it weren't for him, I probably would have quit lol. Starting the pack is the hardest part IMO. Bluu and I finished it Yesterday and started another pack that is way harder still would like to see this on MyM.
I'm not sure how this would play out, it is designed for four teams I think it was as a timed challenge. With the last prize being the most disappointing of them all! Much like Skyblock 3 Challenges I'm not entirely sure how we would roll this out without some sort of changes to it. Remember a lot of this is also done through computer craft terminals that even in single player were.. touchy.
Yeah, maybe it would be possible if we converted the monument to a questbook from BQM and just spawned them on the normal skyblock island? And then we could probably make a script to check when someone completes the book and announce it to the server as the winner and TP people to a trophy stand based on their progress. IDK it's just an idea. (I'd be willing to help set this all up if you guys would allow me to)
The way it is currently setup, FTB Pyramid wouldn't work on an MyM platform. However, Column you are more than welcome to try and convert it.
They just released a new update using a FTB Quests mod. Gonna look and see if it changes the monument to a questbook.
