Hi, For the past couple of hours, i have been breeding bees like crazy, only to hit a snag in the entire process. The game doesnt spawn in the Deep Hives in which we can find the Attuned bees. Which are required for the breeding process of my choice. When asking NEI, it says they come from dungeon chests, but when looking closer, it actually thinks a Meadows Bee is the same as an Attuned bee (sharing the same ID as any bee). You cant breed em, you cant find em and villagers dont sell them. Also tried with 3 looniums (botania) which spawn dungeon loot from mana, but they only produce steadfast bees, not attuned ones. Could you please either make the hives they should spawn in, appear in worldgen, or some other method to get them without having to wait a month for the farmworld to reset? Please add a method to get those as well.
Hmm I remember getting attuned and mystical bees. Was a big bee fan and probably got all of them. It is possible to get attuned bees from hives near bedrock I think and mystical from botania. Not sure though, it's been a long time since I played infinity.
Would be nice if you could come up with some actual means of making/getting them then. because i mined loads near bedrock and the only hives im getting are rocky (or infernal in the nether).
Thats a nice link, but it doesnt apply here. The actual item, called Deep Hive doesnt exist in NEI. i just did some mining, got a bunch of Oblivion, Rocky and 1 Infernal hive, but none of them give the bees im trying to get.
Ik it isn't in the nei, but it does exists. The curious hive is in magical biomes(thaumcraft) the deep hive is under the magic biome. It's covered in redstone ore.
i just mined out the botton 20 layers of a full magical forest biome (with silk touch) and im only getting rock hives. im telling you, they arent in there... That aside... alot of the breeding recipes seem different. its like the forestry mod has had an overhaul or a major update.
I think you really are unlucky. They seem rather rare, but I HAVE seen them. Perhaps maybe 5 hives grand total, and I dig - a lot. Keep looking! You'll find one eventually.
