Hi, i think there is something wrong with the way how zombies spawn. For the past couple of days, no matter how well lit up the area is. Zombies keep spawning on my island. Regardless of torches or even a magnum torch. They spawn within 32 blocks of the magnum torch and i even seen one zombie spawn right next to a regular torch. However only at night. I checked for unlit areas with F7 and made sure there isnt even 1 yellow cross in the area. However they keep spawning. Could someone investigate (our island) and help me fix this?
Update: even had zombies spawning during daytime... Also note: there are no spawners being used. They just appear at random intervals.
i havent changed biome since we started. its still on ocean.[DOUBLEPOST=1484700530,1484664408][/DOUBLEPOST]Would be nice if someone from staff could take a look at this. It is rather annoying to have mobs spawn right on top of torches and inside the influence of a magnum torch.
After spending an ingame day and night on your Island I was unable to observe this issue. No mobs of any type spawned. Because of this, I will go ahead and mark this thread as "Done". Good Gaming and Have a Great Day!
it weirdly enough resolved itself. although i have no explanation about how it happened or resolved itself. Lets hope this was a temporary thing. Thanks for the help.
To clarify, Magnum Torches only prevent Vanilla Mob Spawning mechanics. Any modded mob-spawns is intentionally ignored by the Magnum Torch. At least one of the mods in this pack, usurps the vanilla spawning mechanics, and replaces it with likely a similar, if slightly altered version. I noticed this mostly on the old Titan version, so it might have been fixed (or at least largely patched) in later updates, as I never really saw it on Kappa. I had theories that it might've been the Aether mod, or it's core/API mod that it relies on, but never looked much into it.
