there was a dicussion about lag in DW20 node 1 and I thought of this idea...... Have a report base function which sends an alert to staff about a base but to use it, you have to stand next to said base, that way the staff know where to go. But this could be used for all thing like stupid reactor builds, unactive bases, possible lag spikes etc. and to make sure the staff know exactly what is wrong, you could put a little message stating briefly what is wrong. This could reduced the amount of tickets put through, could be used on all the servers where bases are easy to come across (not like Agrarian or SkyFactory) and be monitored efficiently as any staff currently online, would get the alert and they can check instantaneously. Just a thought...........
They have tools such as OPIS, this is not required at all, as you have no idea what actually is causing lag (leave that decision to the experenced players) and not all large bases are TPS hogs, and there is always /ticket, but for just general lag, the staff have a command and an admin tool that they can use
The ticket systems does exactly that. I don't think there is the need for the same system with a different database for a different purpose.
The only issue with the ticket system is i have to stop playing to create one with detail whereas this could be more of a 'oh, this player hasn't been for a month' /reportbase inactive player then off you go on your merry way lol Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
Thank you for bringing this idea to us, but as slind has said you can do all of this with the ticket system already. All you need is like a few words on the ticket to say this base has been unused in X amount of time or something similar and then we can go look at it as the tickets automatically contain the location it was made at
