The quarry world has a number of issues:

You cannot send power or items between the main world and the quarry world.

-I have tried using tesseracts, ender chest, ender tank. None of these options work. I wouldn't mind trying RemoteIO but the direct address for the quarry world is not clear.

I don't know if this is intended or a problem. If it is intentional, I can only wonder why, it would mean people need to set up power generation and item storage on the quarry server.

    Inventory is bugged.

-I cannot pin point the cause of this problem but the inventory between the quarry world and the main world does not sync properly. There are a couple different variations to this problem. My problem is that it is not clear why or when it will happen, it seems to be random.

1.) Invisible inventory: Inventory appears to be completely empty but when you scroll over the items in your hotbar and click they suddenly appear.

2.) Hotbar items and armor stays but the rest of the inventory disappears: For example, I was trying to carry 27 stacks of charcoal for a generator to power my quarry. When I left the main server my inventory was full of charcoal, when I switched to the quarry world my inventory was empty. The same thing happened a couple of times when trying to carry the ores back from the quarry to the main world.

3.) Single items disappear: Most of the inventory stays but sometimes single items disappear. So far I have lost one high temperature furnace generator (ExUtils), a tesseract (Thermal expasion) and a range of random vanilla ores and items. I can't prove it since I didn't expect it to disappear so I don't need a refund. But it would be nice if this can be fixed so I don't have to be scared of losing items.

*On a side note, there seems to be a problem with inventory management and switching servers aside from just the quarry world. I am not sure what is going on but I have duplicated my inventory by mistake while testing these problems. I can give you more details on how this happened via PM.*

Please sent me more information as I can't reproduce it, I tried it multiple times for +20 minutes.

The item and energy transfer between any farm dimensions and the overworld is tricky to say the least. You cannot in any way directly transfer items or energy automatically between these dimensions, this is due to limitations created by trying to improve TPS as much as possible in each dimension. Imo the easiest way to carry items back and forth is to take a basic ME system with you (2 64K drives) and an energy source (2 Resonant energy cells) and pump the results from the quarry directly into the ME system, this way you just have to carry the drives back and forth when the quarry is finished. The 2 Resonant Energy cells should contain enough power to run a 64x64 quarry to completion (I can confirm this works on a QuarryPlus with Eff5).

From my understanding the servers are set up in this way (those who know more feel free to correct me): Each overworld has its OWN server instance running, on separate threads, and it has every dimension disabled besides the nether. Every other dimension is running on a single server instance, completely separate from the overworlds. This, while detrimental to a few, has some distinct advantages: it should increase TPS across all dimensions by spreading out the server workload, this means that your quarries should run faster and the overworld should be more responsive. It also means that no matter how many quarries are running, it should NOT affect overworld TPS.

Yes, it does mean that you can't instantly get whatever resource you're mining/pumping from the quarryworld but that is no different from the way M2 has been running for the past few weeks. I do realize M+ was different and I think we can all see the TPS drops that continually occurred there even with only a few people online. All in all I truly believe that the setup we have now is a better one and will make Monster run faster and hopefully have a longer lifespan.

I'm aware of this and am currently using a similar setup but I was quite miffed since I had spent the bulk of my early game blaze rods and diamonds on trying to set up a lava powered quarry. Given that I also wasted a lot of time making a useless bedrock pickaxe yesterday as well, I would appreciate if this sort of server specific information was written down more comprehensively for regular users to read.

I agree, as I told you before I'm pretty amazed they can manage to keep the servers running at all. I've been on the admin side before and I know it's a nightmare. I really don't want to complain, but all I'm trying to say is that us players are in the dark when it comes to server specific tweaks.

I'll see what's going on concerning an information guide, if that needs to be written I'd be more than happy to do it.

@Tomuchan make sure that you don't put the storage drives in a other mobile storage item or it will destroy your player file.
