After the modsauce update we have had nothing but issues with powering all the different machines, an example of this buildcraft machines won't take anything but buildcraft power and there is no way to convert any other power to buildcraft power at this time, could you guys take a look at this and see if there is a way to fix the issue cause before the update rf worked just fine with buildcraft stuff. This issue doesn't seem to have a config change answer from what i can see but i might be blind lol.
haven't used that this time around, we went with an ender quarry instead. i'll try a quarry plus later. on a side note can we get regular pumps enabled for the over world cause i would love to set up some oil wells but the ender thermic pump fills in the areas where it takes liquid blocking oil springs (you can set BC pumps to not pump water)[i think its set that way by default]
The worst part of this whole ordeal is i just want the filler to fill in large areas of no mans land before i go claiming it lol finding out that i can't cross power machines like in monster or pre-patch modsauce hurts the build time i get in a day. also i'm not setup for making a quarry+ yet Willi still can't place a BC Factory pump in world (i know its a pain in the butt to make everything and everyone happy thanks for working with me on this stuff)
Ok pump is placeable now, now to figure out the power situation so we don't need 4 or 5 different sources to power all the machines
Have you tried a power converter or Capacitor Bank? They should be able to convert power for you with. I'll try it out tonight.
Ok so the liquid piping attaches to the ender io stuff but the power ones refuse to connect in a similiar fashion making us have to use engines for build craft and nothing else :<. This is where i put in for a christmas wish of power converters .
Comparing 1.0.5 and 1.0.6 only shows one config change related to energy. This change is in the mekanism config from J to RF, so I guess it is not config related and therefore incompatibility between mod versions or a bug.
I just did some testing and updateing buildcraft would fix this issue but we can't update it as the server would be incompatible with the modsauce modpack.
We checked the next buildcraft version which works fine and tried to patch in some of the fixes around the energy. Unfortunately nearly a complete rewrite happened between the two versions which makes it incompatible with an outdated client.
Yeah why the writers can't get together and agree on one or two power types and work together to impliment them is beyond me :<
Wait..... everybody, you all realize that logistics pipes will AUTO CONVERT between RF, MJ and EU.... right? Please tell me you knew this? And I don't think their is a pipe limit either.... So.... why the issue between power systems?
