Praetor Armour

I would like it if this set was put on server market, for any server with thaumcraft. It's not op armour, just super rare, and uniquie looking.

 

Yes, to do it normally you need to go to all the obelisks and hope for the crimson portal, and kill the praetor and hope for the armor. Doing this will severly reduce the number of obelisks for others to do when wanting to advance in thaumcraft. It only spawns in the eldritch dimension, and maximum of 1 per. Also there is no way to create a spawner with them, I have looked into every solution possible.

 

Well from my tests you can make something drop their weapon NOT armour, as armour is often part of the monsters model. As for flying in the void, first I do not know how to get out of an eldritch dungeon without getting max donation tier for the /thru. 2nd not all servers have drac evo with always fly enabled, which means it will cause nearly all flight to stop nearly instantly.

 

I have been told about getting out of dungeons before, and I have yet to figure out how.

This is why I think putting the armour, or maybe even spawn praetor on the market would be helpful. It could even be on it for a high price.

 

Nope, the crimson portal drops the pearl NOT the praetor. The praetor can drop the crimson blade, crimson praetor armour, or treasure bags.

I guess the rare treasure bag can drop a primordial pearl, but then again how would that be any different than setting up a champion spawner and farming the rare treasure bags that way.

 

You can make spawner out of the crimson knight and cleric NOT the praetor. I have tried healing a portal to see if more praetors spawn, and after keeping one alive for over 1.5 hours I think only 1 spawns from the portal.

 

And what would that accomplish? As I said I have tried healing a portal for an hour and a half, and the only praetor to spawn was the original one. From everything I have tried it is 1 praetor per crimson portal. I can't see how adding either the armour or the spawn egg to server market would make thaumcraft progression any easier. It is just to get access to the armour set.

 

Nope. The armour itself has nothing special other than it's unique model. It wouldn't help farm warp for eldritch (which is already super easy to do), having praetor spawn egg wouldn't make getting primordial pearls any faster than methods already in game. I don't see any game breaking reason to prevent this.

 

Yes these aren't necessary for progressing, but when I say rare, I mean on a server I have never been able to get it before. As stated before even with looting 3 on a sword you have to kill them many times to just get 1 of the pieces. Now do that for each one, which might take longer as you might get extra helmets before you get the chest etc.

I want to turn something from being near impossible to get, to obtainable for anyone who likes, sure myms are easy to get but this is why I say add praetor spawn eggs. This way you can still waste a lot of myms before you get the armour. Put them on for 200 myms per egg or something crazy.

Also the armour isn't amazing compared to other choices in the game, especially if the server has drac evo on it. We don't have the thaumcraft add on that can actually turn them into some really good armor. I want it though just to create an armoury, and wear myself since I don't care much for getting best armour possible.
