needs testing and/or tweaking. throw the book on the ground, twerk around it and maybe it will grow into a mature tree. or maybe its a classy kind of tree and needs time and/or input of some kind.
maybe no one can be bothered with a new type of tree and wants to stick with the classic oak that everyone uses
It's too bad that Better Questing is a lot worse than the previous one. Retrieval quests for one are not working as intended, like ones where you need to get one item and then use/process it, you end up having to get several, because it doesn't update until you've got all items in inventory at once. Then there's all the required items that has to be an exact itemid with certain metadata, making you unable to do certain quests like Alpha - Similar, etc... And don't even get me started with my issue with the Mining Multitool, I'm still waiting for a response on, which is broken due to the new Questing System handling the quest differently, making it non-repeatable. But yeah, if that's the way the modpack author is going...
Look, I know. Better questing is missing a lot of features we know and love with hqm. It sucks having to learn new ways to do stuff. And that is not even going into the bugs. And I agree those suck. But guess what. Better Questing is young. Really young. Like a 5 year old. Hqm is more like 40. So it has some learning pains to go through before it is as mature as HQM. So you may be asking yourself why go with the youngster? Easy, if you are a server. HQM was never designed to run with more then 1024 players in a world. It took a long time for that the get patched, and that is only a partial fix, more like a bandaid. BQ has been designed from the ground up with server in mind. Realistically, unless HQM get a complete rewrite, all packs that want to be on a server will be made with BQ and not HQM.
