Two things... 1) Is there a way to reset your questbook? It seems to require granite rocks for the axe but I was out of granite rocks before I figured out how the knapping worked. Am I stuck wondering around hoping to find another granite rock on the ground in order to progress past the axe in the quest book? 2) I tried it in single player and using granite for the stone axe worked in the questbook. The next problem is that the questbook doesn't appear to have the correct description for the shovel head. The book says to nip all four corners but that does not work. If I use the pattern in NEI I can create the stone head but it doesn't work with the book. I get a stone shovel head with an id of 4463. There are four stone heads with IDs of 4463, 4464, 4465, and 4466. After some testing in creative the head that the book wants is 4466. But I can't figure out how to create that version of the head. Any ideas for a work around or what I might be doing wrong would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Tommypoints
the book's always been buggy like that, but yhea tbh i wouldn't want to actually complete the quests, cuz you lose items in the process xD
Thank you for the report on the description error we will make sure to knapp that correctly in the QB update. I believe that the issue with the stone shovel may be something we can't fix at the moment but we are working on a solution to that problem. @cbrozak any more to ad on this
For some reason when I uploaded the QB it switch a couple of the descriptions around, I'll correct it with the next QB update this week. I'll complete the stone quests for you as well and come up with a different way to go about being able to complete them to avoid that ID issue. An easy solution would be an OR option in the QB, unfortunately there isn't one or a plan on one. We are putting in a full next few days for the next major update, if you'd like to start fresh on the QB we can reset it for you.
Looks like the stone hoe has a similar issue. The hoe head id the book wants is 4472 but that isn't the id I got when I knapped it. I'll let you know if I find others.
not at fault of ours TFC has many different id's for the same thing we are working on a solution to the problem.
Nah, just the stone tools, all other quests function as intended. It was early in the Dev's 'career' and he wasn't quite into data tags (NBT) yet so he did the different durabilities as different IDs and has never gone back to optimize his early scripting. We'll have a solution in the next release.
Tellin' you, the QB is the biggest issue with the modpack... that thing probably has 100 man hours of the entire process. Maybe more tbh
