So I made a new ticket today about removing a little claim near me, I can't see that anything is built above it, but something might be build underneath it. After a while a admin came to me to check it out, the admin responded something like this: "This claim can't be removed because he was online a few days ago" So my question is doesn't it work like this, a admin basically gotta check when the claim was last used and not when the player was last seen online according to the rules: Can you remove this claim next to mine? Our rules stated 2 weeks. Once the owner of the claim and possible trusted people have been offline for more than 2 weeks we are happy to remove the claim and restore the region unless it is an awesome build. In case of small unused claims there is no need for the full 2 weeks in activity rule. To request a claim removal use our ticket system within the claim.
its unfair to remove a claim when someone still plays on the server. that is why the 14 day rule is in place, because if someone isn't on for 14 day most likely they are done playing on the server
You also gotta see it like this, what if I in example place a chest far away, which is my first chest. Then it automatically claims a 10x10 claim far away that I don't use. But I am still online 24/7, what will happend to people who wanna build near it? You know some people don't always check if they have other claims in the world that they don't use. That's why admins gotta check when the claim was last used. I asked the admin if he could check if the claim was used, but he didn't want to.
Please feel free to ask the player to remove the claim, but as they are an active player on the server we cannot. I understand your frustration but this puts us squarely in a Player vs Player situation which we try to stay out of. Thank you for taking the time to write in.
But you might want to remove this part from the rules then: "In case of small unused claims there is no need for the full 2 weeks in activity rule"
They are not in anyway inactive. They are an active player. That applies to inactive members and is up to the staff member handling it.
In case you're having trouble contacting the player who owns the claim because you aren't online at the same times as them, you can do /mail send <name> <message> to leave them an offline message and then when they next log in they will be told that they have unread mail to check, just remember the Minecraft chat character limit still applies so keep it short, hopefully you can get through to them and sort something out
I am a very active player, I play 24/7, but if I have a 2000x2000 claim in the other side of the map that I never built or will build anything on it then technically you guys can't remove the claim since I am always online/active? Won't this cause alot of issues for the players? Am I really not reading this right or what? This rule clearly states ignore all of the above about the 2 weeks active stuff and you don't have to wait 2 weeks before removing it. He played 3 hours past the 7 days I wouldn't exactly call that active either. [DOUBLEPOST=1430336365][/DOUBLEPOST]I asked the staff if they could check when the claim was last used or if it is even used and he refused to do that. As far as I see nothing at ground level is built on the claim.[DOUBLEPOST=1430337068][/DOUBLEPOST]
You are correct... we would not remove your giant unused claim. We would hope you would be civil enough, if asked, to do so yourself. Some people have very limited playtime. They shouldn't have to come back to find what they have done gone because they dont have time to dedicate to a game. It could also possibly be an oversight on their part that its even there. I would start with leaving them a message to remove it if they arent using it.
But how can you know if the player has build anything on that claim if the admin doesn't check if anything is built on it or not? As I saw it nothing was built there on the ground level. What if the player made that claim 2 months ago then he moved to a new place to make a new base and this claim has stayed there for 2 months without him using it. I can't look out for this player all the time if he is only on 3 hours in 7 days and trust me I would have talked to him if I even saw him online past these weeks. Wouldn't all this mess just be alot easier if the admin checked if the player build anything on it or not or if the player activly use it. I remember when I talked to the admin Adrian about the other claim near me and he checked when the claim was last used and he gave me a answer based on when the claim was last used and not when the player was last seen online. I am just a player that likes this server alot and I use alot of time here, but I also expected more from admins/staff.
Well in this instance the staff expect more from you too, since the player is not considered inactive, they expect you to try and worth things out with them yourself. I have already explained how you can leave a message for an offline player, so try that, give it a week to see if you hear back, and if the situation is still unresolved a week from now then the admins might be willing to reassess the situation.
I will leave him a message. I will just expand my border the other way for now x:-1246 z:240 32 days since last online and x:-1287 z: 196 19 days since last online, I made a ticket, if any admins are online now reading this maybe you can help Can I bump this thread if I don't get a answer from him in a week?
