Done Question about Ghasts

Is it just me, or do Ghasts seem to have a much lower spawn rate than usual? The only reason I notice this is because I'm constantly needing ghast tears, and I never find any ghasts after spending hours in the nether.

 

ive heard a couple people say this on civilizations strange as far as i know staff dont change the spawn rate for ghasts

 

Hmm... Odd. Either way, the lack of ghasts is quite odd and annoying.

 

I think much of the issue is due to local spawn limit being filled with pigmen. It might be worthwhile to increase the spawn weighting of ghasts or decrease that of pigmen, in order to allow players an easier time finding ghasts.

 

Easy fix just make a big cursed earth platform

Should work fine, but ghasts need a minimum of 5x5 empty space to spawn, so it will need to be cleared very quickly for a chance at spawning one.

Yeah, no. I can't very well make that, so... changing the spawn rates would be better and much appreciated.

 

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA, HAHAHAHAHA AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA, ooo boy, i'm sorry, i'm sorry, just couldn't help it, but seriously, you expect the admins to change the spawnrates just for you? use cursed earth, or go ontop of the nether, go a good distance high, and make a temporary farm, and remove it! works perfectally

Let's see... For one, it would take up way too much space and redstone knowledge, of which I don't even have enough to make a hidden piston door without checking a video every single time. Also, I don't have nearly enough resources to be able to construct such a structure. Not to mention that from what I've heard, other people are having this same problem, so one structure wouldn't fix it.

 

Well to me that sounds like a easy way to make.money soul vial a ghast autospawn and your rich

 

Well, I could... if a ghast would actually spawn for me, and if I could generate enough power to run a soul binder...

Sounds like you are coming up worth reasons you don't need ghast tears.

Fair enough. And I do need ghast tears, but that still doesn't change the fact that I wouldn't have enough resources to create a structure like that.
